Nomenclature
The following information is derived from Barry Bolton's Online Catalogue of the Ants of the World.
- carli. Acromyrmex lundi subsp. carli Gonçalves, 1961: 152.
- [First available use of Acromyrmex lundi st. pubescens var. carli Santschi, 1925a: 385 (w.) BRAZIL (Pará); unavailable (infrasubspecific) name.]
- Type-material: >3 syntype workers.
- Type-localities: “numerous workers” Brazil: Pará, Ilha Mexiana (Hagmann) (invalid restriction of type-locality by Kempf, 1972a: 13; no lectotype designated), 3 workers Brazil: Pará (no collector’s name).
- [Note: Santschi, 1925a: 385, writes “Isla mexicana” as a syntype locality. This would appear to be a misinterpretation of Ilha Mexiana, in Pará.]
- Type-depositories: MHNG, NHMB.
- Subspecies of lundii: Kempf, 1972a: 13; Bolton, 1995b: 54.
- Distribution: Brazil.
